MoneyMiles Terms of Service

Welcome to MoneyMiles. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the MoneyMiles Platform, including the MoneyMiles website ("Web App"), the MoneyMiles iOS mobile application ("Mobile App"), and any associated services, features, content, or applications offered by MoneyMiles (collectively, the "Platform"). Please read these Terms carefully before using the Platform.

By creating an account, accessing, or using any part of the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Platform.

1. About Money Miles

MoneyMiles is a financial tracking and mileage-logging platform designed to help gig-economy workers record income, expenses, receipts, and mileage for tax and reporting purposes.

MoneyMiles is owned and operated by MoneyMiles Ltd ("we", "our", "us").

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a contract to use the Platform.

3. Use of the Platform

You agree to use the Platform only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.

3.1 Account Registration

To access certain features, you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate, complete, and updated information.

3.2 Mobile App Use

By using the MoneyMiles iOS Mobile App, you acknowledge and agree that:

• The App requires device permissions, including:
  • Location services (continuous or background) for tracking mileage.
  • Camera access to capture and upload receipts.
  • Photo library access to upload stored images.
• Some functionality may not work if you disable these permissions.
• The App may require updates, and older versions may cease to function.
• You must use the App only on Apple-approved devices running a supported version of iOS.

3.3 Location Tracking

You acknowledge and consent to the use of precise location data for the purpose of tracking journeys and calculating mileage. Location data is collected:

• When manually starting/stopping a trip, or
• Automatically if you enable auto-tracking.

You may disable location services at any time through your device settings, but doing so will affect mileage-tracking functionality.

3.4 Receipt Capture via Camera

If you choose to upload receipts or expense records using the Mobile App, you grant us permission to access the device's camera or photo library.

Images are uploaded securely and processed for record-keeping and categorization.

4. Subscriptions and Payments

MoneyMiles offers subscription-based plans.

4.1 iOS App Store Subscriptions

If you subscribe through the Apple App Store:

• Billing is managed by Apple.
• Payments, renewals, refunds, and cancellations are governed by Apple's App Store Terms and Policies.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID settings.

4.2 Web-Based Subscriptions

If you subscribe via the Web App:

• Payments are handled through our third-party payment provider.
• Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled.

4.3 Free Trials

Free trials (if offered) convert automatically to paid subscriptions unless cancelled before the trial ends.

4.4 No Refunds

Except where required by law or Apple policy (for iOS subscriptions), all fees are non-refundable.

5. Privacy & Data

Your use of the Platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.

Key points relevant to the Mobile App:

• Location data is used solely for mileage tracking.
• Camera/photos access is used only for uploading receipts.
• We do not access your camera, photos, or location without your permission.

6. User Content

You retain ownership of the data you upload ("User Content"), including receipts, mileage logs, and income/expense entries. By using the Platform, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to store, process, and display this content solely to provide the service.

You are responsible for ensuring the accuracy of all data entered.

7. Prohibited Uses

You may not:

• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or copy the Platform.
• Use the Platform for fraudulent or unlawful purposes.
• Interfere with Platform operations or security.
• Attempt to access accounts or data belonging to others.

8. Intellectual Property

All intellectual property related to the Platform—software, design, branding, trademarks, UI, and features—belongs to us or our licensors. You are granted a limited, revocable, non-transferable license to use the Platform.

9. Mobile App License (Apple Required Clause)

This license is between you and MoneyMiles, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the App or its contents.

You acknowledge that:

• Apple has no obligation to maintain or support the App.
• Apple is not responsible for any warranties or claims.
• Apple is not liable for claims arising from use of the App.
• You must comply with App Store Terms.
• Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries and may enforce these Terms.

10. Availability & Service Changes

The Platform may be updated, discontinued, or modified. We may suspend access for maintenance or technical reasons.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may stop using the Platform at any time.

Termination does not entitle you to refunds.

12. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Platform is provided "as is" without warranties. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service or exact accuracy of mileage calculations or financial records.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for:

• Loss of data
• Loss of profits or revenue
• Indirect or consequential damages
• Issues arising from third-party services (including Apple or payment providers)

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
